One good reason to go to Tucson is Janos restaurants. I took my two friends Kathleen & Alastair to dinner for the tasting menu and it was absolutely incredible. It would be well worth the trip alone. He takes simple ingredients and creates magic. My taste buds keep telling me to go back. Chef Janos was very gracious to personally serve us the meal. Janos has just opened a new restaurant in downtown Tucson which is called Downtown Kitchen & Cocktails and I’m looking forward to trying it.

About 50 miles outside of Tucson is Tubac, Arizona. I would highly recommend checking out Karin Newby Gallery and Sculpture Garden. The Sculpture Garden is amazing and worth the visit.
Tucson Presidio Trust for Historic Preservation
The Presidio Trail is a historical walking tour of downtown Tucson that educates people on the history of the city. It is an excellent 2.5 mile walking loop marked with historical plaques of past culture especially of the Spanish Colonial period. There are great restaurants along the trail as well.

In Bisbee you will find art galleries, coffee houses, book stores, gourmet restaurants, and lots of unique shops. Located a mile high in the mountains of Southeastern Arizona, roughly 90 miles from Tucson, Bisbee was a mining community and once the largest city between St. louis and San Francisco.
