This year the Art Basel Miami Beach takes place December 2 – 5, 2010. It started small and since has grown to take over the whole art community of Miami. Commonly you’ll find branches of Art Basel all over Miami. By the time you finish seeing 4 days of art, your head will be spinning. It’s the most exciting art scene in the whole country!

This is a great bakery with several locations. Paul’s is a French company from Paris and you will find them all through Paris and at the airports. My favorite are the macaroons and I always try to take them or the bread home. It’s easier to take things home from Paul’s than to take cheese home from Paris. I picked up some cheese from the airport, put it in my bag and while we were on the flight back home I opened it. The smell of cheese hit me in the face and went through the plane real fast! Talk about rip cheese. Pastries are easier!
Macaroons
Art Miami is the city’s longest-running contemporary art fair scheduled fo December 1st-5th, 2010. At Art Miami you will find a variety of art from more than 100 leading national and international contemporary art galleries and well renowned institutions. This is an ideal show for collectors, dealers, curators, artists and people simply with a passion for art. I enjoyed my time here and would recommend scheduling a visit.

Babette Herschberger’s Studio is located in the Bakehouse Art Complex in Miami, Florida. She has excellent abstract paintings that as she describes are, “very much about process.” If you enjoy abstract art you should visit her studio.

This is a very exciting complex filled with talented artists in the heart of Wynwood Art District. I spent two hours meeting artists, seeing exhibits and hanging out with the mascot dog.
