The Town of Bristol

Bristol is a picturesque town in Vermont that reminds me of a New England calendar with snow covered trees, white churches, horse drawn-sleds and everyone says hello to one another. It’s a seemingly perfect world up there.

My favorite restaurants were the Bobcat Cafe and Brewery Cubbers Restaurant, Snap’s Restaurant, which had amazing blueberry pancakes, and Almost Home Market was my go to for coffee in the morning with big fluffy apricot ginger muffins.  It was only three houses away from where I was staying.  I would recommend shopping at Vermont Honey Lights where you will find beautifully crafted handmade candles and Art on Main a fine art & craft gallery.

If you love Ben & Jerry’s ice cream this is the place to be.  What can you say about it that you don’t already know about it?  The ice cream is fantastic and Ben & Jerry are known to be pretty cool guys.  The factory tour isn’t that exciting but I enjoyed the free sample at the end of the tour.  The kids had a really great time.

I’ve know about Simon Pearce for at least 3o years.  Back in the day when he was making everything himself, that was when I first found out about him. If you like glass and a great place to have a nice meal, it’s worth the trip.
