Filene’s Basement is my favorite shop in Washington, DC for both men’s and women’s apparel. Lot’s of tourists visit Filene’s Basement so I would make sure you go your hotel and pick up Where Magazine from the concierge.  You will find a coupon for 20% off in a full page ad. I purchased a Valentino purple velvet jacket for $125 US and at that time they were selling at Valentino’s for $1,000 US in NYC.  I just purchased a Storm System Kashmir jacket made by Loro Piana for $500 dollars which retails for $3,500.
